#2 ARCHAIC PERIOD
.The word archaic this word mean old. .Distinct time spans: Early , middle and late. .During the early archaic period, from about 8000 B.C. to about 5000 B.C. the people still hunted large game. .Hunting smaller games such as deer,bear,turkey and rabbit.
#3 WOODLAND PERIOD
.The woodland culture developed about 1000 B.C. and lasted until about 1000 A.D. .The woodland people use small trees and bark to build domeshape huts. .Arrow points were made out of stone, shark teeth,or deer antlers. .The woodland people learned how to make pottery last longer by mixing clay with sand.
.The Mississippian culture is considered to be the highest prehistoric civilization in Georgia. .Mississippian started about 700 A.D. .The archaeological sites, we know that the people grew most of their food. .Mississippian planted in different fields each year so the soil would stay fertile. .The Mississippians began to dress and fix their hair differently.
