  • The exposition is when the Narrator tries to convince readers that he's not crazy and begins telling the story of how he killed the old man.
  • I'm not mad. I can tell you the whole story of when I killed the old man. Listen carefully.
  • The conflict is that the narrator doesn't like the old man's eye.
  • His eye is so terrifying.....
  • Take me to my room please! I'm ready for bed.
  • Rising Action: The narrator plans to kill the old man. He sneaks into his room at night for 7 nights.
  • His eye is closed. I can't do anything. Ugh.
  • Climax: The old man is murdered and hidden under the floor boards.
  • falling Action: The police are called. They search the house but find nothing. The narrator becomes paranoid as time goes on.
  • Resolution: The narrator confesses to murdering the old man
  • I CONFESS! I DID IT!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!
  • I KNEW IT!
  • Tick.. Tick... Tick...
