Storyboard Text

  • We rushed to bury Polyneices. He was already ravaged by wild dogs and carrion birds, but we did our best and said a prayer. Then we hurried to free Antigone.
  • By the time we got there, though, it was too late. Antigone had hung herself, and Haimon was there lamenting
  • In a fit of rage, Haimon came at Creon with a sword. Creon managed to parry the blow, but it just drove Haimon to turn the blade on himself!
  • You killed her!
  • The messenger begins to narrate the story to the queen and chorus.
  • And now Creon is returning, my queen
  • What have I done?!?
  • The story takes a dark turn as he focuses on what happened when they went to free Antigone
  • It seems Teiresias was right
  • My son is dead. Nothing worse can ever happen.
  • I should follow the queen
  • The messenger finally reveals the circumstances of Haimon's suicide
  • I am a fool! I have nothing left! Everyone is dead or hates me!
  • Oh no! The queen has killed herself in grief, cursing your name Creon.
  • The messenger finishes his story
  • The queen exits silently as Creon returns, both are heartbroken.
  • The messenger returns with even worse news, Eurydice is dead and now Creon is alone and sad all because of his blindness.
