  • They traded to Greenland, Iceland, Feroe Islands. They traded spices, sliver, silk, wine and many more. But they mainly sold slaves.

  • The Vikings established certain mercantile centers. examples are: Hedeby, Birka, Jarvik, Dublin, and Kev. Another way the Vikings had an culture influence on Europe was local place names, language, social structures, art and literature, and surviving architecture. This was all recorded in sagas.

  • The Vikings are known to be a brutal civilization from Scandinavia that thrived during medieval times. They sailed from city to city terrorizing Europe. Apparently they killed people in monasteries since they didn't know how to defend themselves.
