How did the colonists feel about the tax?
What did the colonists do?
The Parliament passed the Tea act in 1773. The act said that the British East India Company was the only company that could pass out tea to the colonies.
The colonists were so angry about the tea's tax that they refused to buy the tea. They didn't want to pay their money all on the tea tax so they did something horrible...
Since they were angry at the tea tax, they dressed up as native americans. Then they opened the tea and through it in the harbor.
