Storyboard Text

  • THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA
  • Once upon a time, there was a prince who wanted to marry a real princess. He traveled all around the world to find one. There were many princesses, but there was always something  about them that wasn't quite right.
  • I'm feeling sad. It's difficult to find a truly real princess.
  • One evening there was a terrible storm and there was thunder and lighting. Suddenly, there was a knock on the gate, and the king went to open it.
  • I am exhausted and my clothes are dripping all over, but I'm a real princess!
  • We'll see about that!
  • I'm going to put a pea at the bottom of the bed and twenty matresses as well as twenty eider-beds on top. If the girl feels anything, then she's a real princess.
  • Now they knew that she was a real princess, because she felt the tiny pea, and the prince took her as his wife. THE END
  • The next morning...
  • How did you sleep, my dear?
  • Oh, very badly your majesty! I could scarcely close my eyes. It was as if I was lying on something hard, and now my entire body is in bruises!
