Answer: african american cowboys sometimes faced discrimination.The cowboy life was much different than in the myths.They faced many dangers like blizzards,floods,and stampedes!These hazards often injured or killed many cowboys.Cowboys average salaries are about $300 per year.Cowboy charles siringo worked at a rancho company for 2 years and his average pay was just 75 cents
oil field workers often lived in tents/wooden shacks.some towns offered gambling and drinking. These things led to violence in some boomtowns which made them dangerous for women and children. Soon enough, there were very few women and children in these kinds of boomtowns.
