The First Crusade

the second part
In 1096 the Real Crusade began with an army of knights, nobles and if peasents, men. They were led by mainly French Barons. Though they were much better prepared than the PEOPLE'S CRUSADE they were still forced to steal on their journey.
Emperor Alexius was once again disappointed but expected the fact the men in front of him, who were rough and violent as well as the rivalries between Baldwin and Raymond, were going to fight for him and sent them to Palestine.
I was expecting a hand picked army, not 10,000 volunteers.
To everyone's surprise the crusaders proved victorious in many conquers and battles, for example The Battle of Harenc, once winning they beheaded their Saracen prisoners in within the sights of the walls of Antioch (their main target)!
