  • Dance has evolved throughout our history. Our earliest ancestors performed Religious and Spiritual dances, these dances continue today. Folk dances evolved from the Religious dance. From Folk dance, Social dance was born and evolved to Theatrical dance. Ritual dance also influenced Theatrical dance.
  • Folk Dance evolved from spiritual dance. It shows national pride and historical  culture relevance.   Religious Dance is performed to celebrate religious practices & honor God. It is one of the original dance styles.
  • Social Dance evolved from Folk Dance and is for personal satisfaction and pleasure. Examples are school dances & club dancing. Theatrical Dance is performed for audiences. It evolved from social and ritual dance. It is a story telling dance.
