  • everyday, people are born in hospitals, and every US citizen has equal rights because of the Bill of Rights

  • the government is divided into three branches and prevents one branch from taking over
  • JUDICIAL
  • EXECUTIVE
  • no matter who you are, you have to follow all the same laws
  • power is shared between local, state, and national governments around the whole United States
