Storyboard Text

  • "you have to put the clock together in this certain order or else it will break."
  • "See, you glue it first and then add the screws"
  • "Wouldn't it be easier to put it together like this."
  • "No- don't"
  • My father was trying to teach me how to properly build and put together a clock that he was building.
  • "Why would you do that?!"
  • I, as usual, was not listening and I was thinking that I already knew this.
  • "I figured that I was right and it would be easier for you"
  • I told you what to do and you still- fine, I'll let you try again until you get it right"
  • I took the drill and cockily did what I thought was going to be easier and and would  work just as well.
  • "As long as you learn what you are doing wrong, I'm fine with you making mistakes and thinking that you are right."
  • I was clearly wrong and I should have listened.
  • Luckily, my father was not too angry and just wanted me  to learn what I was doing.
  • My father told me to try again and he guided me through it again. After I stepped back and thought about what he had said, I learned to make mistakes and learn from them.
