  • This is the same day of October that a man's wife had died.
  • Personification
  • He is oblivious of the unfortunate date and lets the stars guide him and Psyche.
  • Imagery
  • Psyche is against this journey in this dark, dangerous, and intricate forest. This does not stop them from continuing their adventure.
  • Alliteration
  • They are guided to gaze at the gloomy grave of the glorified girl, his wife.
  • Scene 1 is a simile because it compared the emptiness of Weir to an abandoned house. This is depressing like the mood of the story.
  • Scene 3 has personification because the stars are guiding them. This can change what the readers feel or believe about following stars to go on a journey.
  • Scene 4's imagery of describing the forest give off a scary mood.
  • Scene 2 shows a dark tone that make the readers feel uneasy or sad.
