  • One act that stated the Declaration of Independence this event is called the Boston tea party.
  • John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Robert R. Livingston, and Roger Sherman are the main writer of the Declaration of Independence.
  • The Declaration of Independence is an important part of American democracy because first it contains the ideals or goals of our nation. Second it contains the complaints of the colonists against the British king. Third, it contains the arguments the colonists used to explain why they wanted to be free of British rule.
  • The Declaration of Independence wasn't signed on July 4, 1776. On July 1, 1776, the Second Continental Congress met in Philadelphia, and on the following day 12 of the 13 colonies voted in favor of Richard Henry Lee's motion for independence.
  • The things that inspired the wiring of the Declaration of Independence are that the colonist did not wont to be ruled by a king over seas and that the colonist were take to much for everything.
