Women played many big roles in the Revolutionary War. For example Lydia Darragh gathered crucial information on a plan the british had. This plan was to sneak attack George Washington's army at Whitemarsh, but since she found put they were able to ruin the British's plan.
Another way that woman helped in the Revolutionary War was they transformed their houses into hospitals for the soldiers that were injured during the war. An example of a women who did this was Margaret Hill Morris, she took daily trips to one of the inns where wounded soldiers were being held and cared for them.
Lastly some of the women actually went to war as soldiers and fought the British side by side with men. For example Deborah Sampson put on men's clothes and gave herself a fake name just so she could fight in the war.
