Storyboard Text

  • If you lean close, you will get a whiff of bubble gum and kids sweat.
  • Morning Surprise
  • Mr. Eu-banks gave me permission, so please mind your business boys. I don´t care about how convincing you are to make me stop what I love.
  • You're not even from around here!
  • Twins Bring Lunch
  • For that Ma'am.
  • Suppah.
  • Whatcha got there, sweetheart?
  • Starving Painter Lady
  • I don't care who your spiritual leader is. If you eat in the community, sistuh, you gonna eat pig by-and-y, one way or t'other.
  • Do you have any bread made with unbleached flour?
  • One late school morning the main character and his brother, Lou wanted the painter lady to quit messing with the wall that belongs to the kids of Taliaferro Street.
  • Long Weekend
  • From what I know  all those spay paint designs are called "Graffiti
  • Side pocket came from the pool hall just to check out what the painter lady was up to and had the Morris twins to bring lunch  which is cloudy lemonade, and probably baked ham, collard greens, candied yams, buttered cornbread on the plate covered with tinfoil from Mrs. Morris. The painter did not turn around from her masterpiece, that is giving a show.
  • Wall of Respect
  • That's Harriet Tubman!
  • The painter lady from New York came into the resternaut and leaned of the table, talking about how starving she was to Mamma. While Mamma tried to fix the customers orders at the counter, the painter lady went on with her questions. Mamma realized that she is a decent person, and was simply trying to stick to a strict diet.
  • Theme: Big results require big ambition
  • I did it!
  • I call it shame.
  • During the weekend the narrarter and his brother Lou tried to scheme up ways to recapture the wall. Unffortualty their dad, mom, and grandma were sick of hearing about it, and decided to turn the TV on to see the late news about New York subways covered with drawings, and writings done in spray paint.
  • At the corner of Taliaferro and Fifth, half the neighborhood was gathered on the sidewalk in front of the wall filled with faces such as Martin Luther King,Jr., Minister Malcolm X, and Harriet Tubman.
  • I think the theme of "War of the Wall" is big results require big ambition because close to the end of the story the neighborhood realized that all those blotches of black outlined , and colors make up a important image painted by a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.
