Storyboard Text

  • Our beautiful baby girl will be raised among flowers!
  • Come here Missy!
  • I can't believe you would give away our daughter to your brother Hades!
  • Zuez and Demeter were very fond of eachother. They decided to have a girl and name her Persephone. Demeter was the goddess of harvesting and she loved Persephone very much.
  • I'm not impressed!
  • One day when Persephone got older, she was looking at a weird bush and decided to pull it out of the ground. It created a huge hole that Hades appeared out of. He reached for Persephone and they went back through the hole to the Underworld.
  • Hurry! Just eat it, no one will see you here!
  • Demeter rushed to Olympus to consult Zuez on what happened to Persephone. While she was there she found out that Hades and Zuez agreed on Persephone being with Hades in the Underworld. Demeter refused to harvest crops until her daughter was returned.
  • Please let me stay with my parents!
  • While in the Underworld, Persephone was flooded with gifts from Hades to try and persuade her to eat. She secretly liked the attention, but she still refused. If Persephone ate anything in the Underworld she would have to stay there with Hades.
  • Persephone was given a gardener boy to help her with her garden in the Underworld. One afternoon the two were alone and little boy coaxed Persephone to eat. Being so hungry, Persephone agreed to eating the pomegranate and bit out 6 seeds.
  • The gardener boy ran and showed Hades, this meant Persephone had to stay 6 months in the Underworld and 6 months back with her family every year. Demeter was still not happy and decided when her daughter was gone, she would continue to not harvest anything.
