Boston Massacre and Sugar and Stamp Act
The British troops were sent to enforce the law and keep peace.
Because the colonists threw something at White, his gun went off starting a war.
The colonists also started saying, No Taxation Without Representation. Meaning they wouldn't pay the taxes unless they had a say in it.
After the Sugar Act the British Parliament repealed it and it was called the Stamp Act. Tax now applied to newspapers, magazines, and legal documents.
Because the colonists were angry, they held a meeting with all nine colonies about the taxes.
