Storyboard Text

  • Conflict
  • Main Character
  • Hi I'm Thomas!
  • Secondary Character
  • Hi I'm Newt!
  • This book is man vs. society because W.I.C.K.E.D. sent the Gladers and told them to get to the "Safe Haven" that was 100 miles away. They had two weeks to do so. This is showing that the Gladers are the protagonists and W.I.C.K.E.D. is the antagonists.
  • Setting
  • How much farther Newt?
  • I Don't know. I think we're close, though.
  • The main character in my book was Thomas. A character trait that supports Thomas is caring. He is caring to his friends when he sacrifices himself to group b to ensure that his friends don't get hurt. This shows caring because he could've tried to save himself and let all of his friends die, but he saved his friends instead of himself.
  • Favorite Part
  • Hide!
  • Newt is caring. He is caring for multiple reasons. One reason he is caring is that he comforts Thomas when he got hurt. He did this multiple times because Thomas got hurt multiple times.
  • Least Favorite Part
  • Did I just die???
  • This book mostly took place in a deserted wasteland. This affected Thomas positively because the willingness to live gave him the confidence to continue on to the safe haven and get the cure (he hoped).
  • I liked the part when Thomas and Brenda hid from the full-gone (crazy) Cranks. They hid under a table with a knife and hoped the Cranks went away. When they got caught, it turned into an epic scene where Thomas killed the Crank!
  • I hated the part where Thomas broke free of Aris' grasp, but then got hit by Teresa's spear. I was wondering to myself "Why didn't he run for the door?"
