GIlgamesh goes to Utnapishtim asking for everlasting life and he is told that he needs to prevail from sleeping for six days and 7 nights.
Gilgamesh trys hard not to fall asleep but ends up sleeping. Utnapishtim tells his wife to make bread for each day he is asleep and to mark on the walls each night.
Utnapishtim wakes Gilgamesh up on the morning of the seventh day. Gilgamesh tries to say he hadn't been sleeping.
Utnapishtim talks to the ferryman, Urshanabi. He told him to take Gilgamesh to get cleaned up and take him to shore.
Gilgamesh and Urshanabi get on a boat to take Gilgamesh to shore.
Gilgamesh gets a flower that will help him get everlasting life but a snake smells the sweet sent of the flower and grabs its from Gilgamesh's hand and disappears.
