Storyboard Text

  • You need moisture to form clouds and rain. You need unstable air that is seemingly warm and can rise rapidly. You also need lift. This can form fronts or sea breezes.
  • Yes Destini, it can also endanger the environment. Although thunder itself isn't dangerous, lightning certainly is. When it strikes something; that thing can get electrocuted.
  • We are prepared, we have Flashlight and extra batteries, battery-operated radio and extra batteries, first aid kit and manual, emergency food and water, Non-electric can opener and Essential medicines!
  • I'm so happy your safe!
  • I also remember from school that we can't take a bath or shower, or touch any water. We also have to turn off the air conditioners. Lastly, we can only use electricity in emergencies.
  • I'm happy too. Wee couldn't have gotten through it without you; Destini and John.
  • Looks like the storm is over!
  • We got through the storm safely. I'm so happy we learned all that about thunderstorms in class!
  • Let's go see if our neighbors need any help!
  • We have to remember not to touch any downed power lines.
  • Your Dad and I will keep listening to the NOAA radio for any updates! Have fun!
