Storyboard Text

  • John Proctor
  • John Proctor changes throughout the story because in the beginning, he seems cold, but towards the end, he is loud and commanding.
  • John Proctor's theme song would be the Batman Theme Song because, like Batman, he is always coming to the rescue.
  • "Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! Because I lie and sign..." "I have known her, sir. I have known her."
  • Good vs. Evil
  • The theme good vs. evil is very prominent in The Crucible. One example is that John Proctor represents good and Danforth represents evil. In this situation, evil wins.
  • The last example is Martha Corey and the court. The court tries to convict Martha, even though she is innocent. Evil wins in this situation.
  • Another example is Mary Warren and Abigail Williams. Mary represents good and Abigail represents evil. Abigail wins this fight.
  • Movie Plot vs. Text Plot
  • The text and movie are very similar, but there are some small differences. One difference is that in the movie, there isn't a scene with Tituba.
  • One thing that is the same in both the movie and the play is that Giles Corey is arrested and killed.
  • In the play, when the girls see Mary's spirit, they don't leave the court, but in the movie, they do.
