  • What is it? Might be able to help
  • Yo bro I have test tomorrow and I don't how I'm going manage because I don't anything on it
  •
  • Sure! No problem
  • Thank you!
  •
  • Say what if I get equation like, uhh.. f(x) = -6 Sin (-2t + TT) -3 and I have to state the amplitude, period, phase shift, vertical shift and the reflection?
  • Simple! The amplitude is always the number before each sign whether its, Sine, Cosine, Tangent and so on which in this case is (-6). For period, its number next to the term (t) in the parentheses which is  (-2). With me so far?
  •

  •
  •
  • Yes! If there is a negative negative sign before the amplitude, its indicating that the graph reflects in the x-axis while if there was negative before the period, it will however reflect in the y-axis . Just don't think about it too hard, you'll be fine.
  •
  • Also easy. You just have to think of opposite when dealing with this, if it state that the phase shift is negative, it means the graph shift right which is vice versa if was positive. In this case the the phase shift is +TT which its going left
  • So what about the phase shift?
  •
  • Ok. Now lets show how to determine the (C) Value. The C value indicate if the graph is going up (+) or down (-). As relating to this equation , the C value is -3, so therefore takes a vertical shift downwards.
  • I never know I could learn so much in such short time. keep it going
  •
  • What about reflections? Are we gonna talk about that
