Character- Ponyboys reaction to dally's death
Conflict- Socs .VS. Greasers
"Let's do it for Johnny, man. We'll do it for Johnny! "
Ponyboy and Johnny are walking in the park after Darry hit Ponyboy. Ponyboy and Johnny feel scared when Randy and Bob come. They threaten Johnny and Ponyboy. Thats when Bob and Randy and the three other socs chase Ponyboy and Johnny. Than they grab Ponyboy and start to drown him in the fountain and then Johnny uses self defense and kills Bob the socs and Randy run off and Johnny saves Ponyboy and Ponyboy was shaped by that scene he seemed to have a different look on Johnny.
When pony saw Dally getting shot from the police when Dally was really just pointing an unloaded gun at the police, then Dally was shot and Pony was shaped from this character. When his best friend also died they same night as Dally got shot it was sad for Ponyboy. It shaped him to write his theme for school.Ponyboy thought of Dally and Johnny as his family and he was heartbroken to know that two of his friends were dead part of his family was gone.
Ponyboy's everyday life is the conflict of the socs and the greasers are Ponyboy's everyday life. Since he is a greaser he gets jumped by the socs mostly everyday.the conflict really impacts his life because he has to watch his back all the time because if he gets jumped either he seriously gets hurt or he might die. Ponyboy thinks that he has to fight all the time thats when he meets Cherry and she says "Things are rough all over."
