The Aztecs saw signs of something bad coming. There was fires in the temples and there was a shooting star
Christopher Columbus was first in South America in August 1, 1498. Later Cortes went on his mission and went to the Aztec Empire
Cortes and his army battled the Tlaxcalan people and they eventually agreed on a treaty where they would help them defeat the Aztecs
1519~ Monctezuma welcomed Cortes into his empire. He might of thought that he was a God who has returned.
Spanish started to destroy idols. Montecezuma offers gold so Cortes can leave. Montecezuma was kept a prisoner then killed.
Siege of Tenochtitlan 1521 ~ Spanish diseases spread in the Aztecs, they killed many Aztecs. Destroyed buildings including temples. This marked the end of the Aztec Empire
