Colonialism Effects in India
After gaining control of India, The British used them to produce raw materials for cheap. The building of rail roads allowed the to transport goods and materials to and from India and Britain.
When the British took over, they started to colonize the area. It had positive and negative affects on the people. A negative affect is Britain now controlled them and held all the power rendering them with no power. A positive affect is that although there land has been taken over, it is so valuable to the British that they would do anything to protect it and the workers within.
Sepoy Mutiny is a war between the British and Indians. British seperate Hindu and Muslims causing some to rebel, called the sepoys. These people rebelled against the British causing a major war.
