  • The narrator was reading a book, but slowly falling asleep. But suddenly someone was knocking at his chamber door.
  • Falling Action
  • He was talking to the person outside his chamber door. A bit later he opens the door because the knocking did not stop. Once he opened it, there was no one there was only darkness.
  • Resolution
  • A raven flies into his chamber and goes and sits at the Pallas on top of the chamber door. He asks the bird a question and the bird replies back.
  • Personification
  • He wants the raven to leave, but the raven wouldn't leave.
  • The raven was still sitting on his Pallas on top of his chamber door. And he sees the demons that raven is dreaming in its eyes.
  • The raven can talk. The narrator talks to the raven and the raven replies.
