  • CONFLICT
  • The Hutchinson's up next.
  • RISING ACTION
  • That wasn't fair you didn't give him enough time.
  • The little kids in the small village gathered rocks for the lottery that takes place each year at the end of June.
  • CLIMAX
  • The conflict begins to rise when Mr.Summers called the Hutchinson family to the black box to pull a slip of paper.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • This isn't fair.
  • 
  • The entire family gathered around the box and begin to pull slips of paper out the box. Bill opened his paper first then his family followed. Bill was the one with the black dot. Tessie begun to fuss and say it wasn't fair Mr.summers didn't give him enough time.
  • RISING ACTION
  • Mr.summers gave the family another chance to pull. This time Tessie had the black dot that had been drawn by an heavy wooden pencil.
  • Tessie begin to yell out to the people in the village that "this isn't  fair & this isn't right." The crowd gathered around Tessie and begin to through rocks
  • As Tessie screamed the crowed begin to through rocks at her head and the crowed chanted each other on until she was dead.
