Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • There once was a young girl who lived with her mother in the wilderness. One day her mother died but she told her daughter she could go anywhere she like except the outdoors at night.
  • Listen, you must never go anywhere while it's dark. I am not going to be around anymore so I need you to follow this one rule.
  • Since her mother was now gone, she had to provide for herself. She would go into the wilderness for supplies to make thread, eat, and sometimes just to watch and listen to animals and nature.
  • Rising Action
  • Rising Action
  • One day, she looked around her house to find that she barely had any materials or food. It was dark out but she decided that since she needed the supplies and she had never seen the outdoors while it was dark out, that she would go.
  • I don't have much of anything do I? It's dark out but I have never seen the outdoors and I do need those supplies. Anyways, what's the worst that can happen?
  • Climax
  • As she was walking, she was startled by a very dark silhouette. It was dark but her mother had told her stories of gods and goddesses with mystical powers. She was immediately terrified when she heard what the silhouette said.
  • What a pretty young lady you are. I think you could be even prettier though, as a butterfly! And since I am so generous, I will make you into many butterflies of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Doesn't that sound nice?
  • She burst into millions of butterflies of all different shapes, sizes, and colors. She didn't know how, but that women must have done it. Even though she didn't want them to, all of the butterflies flew in different directions to different parts of the world.
  • Falling Action
  • Resolution
  • To this day, she hasn't joined together and became herself again because she knew that she could only do so if every butterfly joined together to recreate her. Since they were in different arts of the world, they haven't joined together and so we haven't lost the butterflies.
