Hi, I'm Sam. I'm here to talk to you about the concepts of insurance. There are 7 basic types of insurance that we'll be talking about. The first one is Homeowner's/ Renters.
This insurance covers your house and maternal possessions if a house fire (or anything really) happens to your house. Just be sure to take pictures of your belongings in case you have to make a claim
The next type of insurance is auto insurance. This covers your car if it is in a wreck, tornado, ect. Not all insurance types cover you car though. Some only cover the car you hit, some covers both you and the other person, it just depends. Now, let's go onto Health.
Health insurance covers costs in case you get rushed to the hospital for any reason. It honestly just pays for most of your bill, depending on what insurance policy you have. Now, disability does the same thing, but only pays for hospital bills that you went in for because of your disability.
Now, once your loved ones hit 65 years old, they'll need something called "long-term" insurance. This helps pay for any nursing home bills and things like that. Now, for someone more my age, Identity theft is an insurance idea I'd look into. If someone steals your identity, this will help patch that up.
The last insurance type is life. You'll need to get this basically once you hit full adulthood, it's more of a just in case thing. If you die, you'll family doesn't have to pay full burial expenses and will get money from you after you die to help them out.
