  • Russia in WWI
  • Wow! There have been so many deaths! About 15%!!!
  • The February Revolution of 1917
  • I'm stepping down from my throne.
  • The Duma and I will take charge of ruling Russia.
  • Bolshevik Revolution/October Revolution of 1917
  • No, that's not fair! I own this land!
  • This property is not private anymore. You can live here but you do not own it.
  • Russia focused too much on industrialization rather than militarism in the years leading up to the war. They suffered many casualties and lost almost 15% of its total population.
  • Russian Civil War of 1918-1919
  • Reds, for the Bolsheviks!!!
  • The Duma was re-established and put in place after Czar Nicholas abdicated his throne. The Duma had no real power and is unable to rule successfully.
  • Industrial & Agricultural Reforms of Stalin of 1928
  • Dad? What happened to our farm?
  • The Bolsheviks were able to organized and seize political power in Russia. They quickly made peace with Germany and eliminated ownership of private property.
  • Stalin's Purges of 1934
  • All who oppose me will be killed.
  • The Reds fought and defeated the whites. The Reds killed Czar Nicholas II, and Lenin and the Bolsheviks take charge.
  • Whites, do it for CZAR!!!
  • The Five-Year Plan put in by Stalin focused on industry and agriculture. He took private farms and turned them into farms owned by the state
  • The Farm is now State property.
  • Purges kill government people. All who oppose Stalin or threaten his control he killed.
