  • Causes of The Cold War By Devyn Kneller
  • The Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union lasted more than 40 years. It didn't end until the Soviet Union dissolved in 1991.
  • Stalin didn't keep the agreements he had made with the allies in  reference to free elections in counties occupied by the Soviet Army.
  • This scared the west, whom believed that Stalin would attempt to take over the world by force
  • The Americans didn't tell Stalin about the Manhattan Project (building of the atomic bomb) and after using them against Japan successfully  the US refused to share the technology  with USSR
  • This scared them. They thought the US was going to start a war with them using atomic bombs.
