Medieval Life In Towns

A boy show us his life in Medieval life.
Hello my name is Phillip, and I want to welcome you to my house. It is a small house and the living conditions are very harsh due to the smoke from last nights fire that had to keep us warm. I live with lots of my family because we are very poor. Let me show you the life of the average person here.
Here is our cathedral and we get to go here once or twice a week and we go here for around from anywhere around one to five hours. The smaller towns or the manors have smaller cathedrals called churches. They would go there for sometimes 8 hours! We have a pope that I think is way better than the king and everybody knows the pope could take over the king.
This is the walls protecting the castle and I have my lucky flute with me. I will come here every once and a while and play. If anybody stole it, I would go to court and since it is a small crime the criminal would be put in the stocks or fined. But if somebody were to commit a big crime they would be burned on the stake, executed, or drowned.
Well thank you for coming with me and I hope I see you soon.
