Storyboard Text

  • Mercutio was stabbed and he is saying "curse your houses" because he's accusing their families of killing him.
  • Help me into some house Benvolio, or I'll faint. I wish a plague over both of your houses! They have made me worms' meat. I've had it. Curse your houses!
  • Romeo killed Tybalt and now he thinks he has bad luck.
  • Literary Term: Fortune's fool would be an example of alliteration.
  • Oh, I am fortune's fool!
  • Friar Lawrence tells Romeo his punishment. Romeo does not like it and would rather die.
  • Ha, banishment! Be merciful and say "death". Exile is much more terrifying than death. Do not say "banishment".
  • He made a gentler punishment. You won't die, but you will be banished from Verona.
  • Go visit Juliet before you go to bed. Prepare her, wife, for this wedding day.
  • Capulet is telling his wife to visit Juliet and prepare to get married to Paris.
  • Romeo is now leaving to go to Mantua.
  • Either my eyesight fails, or you look pale.
  • Trust me, love, you do too. Sorrow makes us pale. Goodbye!
  • Juliet finds out her father wants her to get married to Paris and she doesn't want to.
  • Madam, will you please tell my father that I will not marry yet. And when I do, I swear it will be Romeo, whom you know I hate, rather than Paris.
  • Here comes your father. Tell him yourself, and see how he will take it.
