THE BOSTON TEA PARTY
I'm going talk about the Boston tea party did you know that 200 men helped with this endeavor including Paul revere.
It was over 90,000 pounds and it was worth a lot of money. It was worth over 1 million dollars of tea.
The patriots dumped 342 chest of tea into the Boston harbor. And they dumped it over board.
THE STAMP ACT AND SUGAR ACT.
All documents had to have a stamp, or British seal, on the show that the tax had been paid.
This time the tax applied to paper documents such as newspapers, legal documents and magenzines .
In October of 1765 representation from nine colonies met what was called the stamp act to discuss what should be done.
