Carnarvon and Carter are the two archaeologist in search for King Tutankhamen's tomb. They have been looking for five seasons and still have failed to find the tomb of King Tut. Carter thought that the tomb could be in the Valley of the Kings, so in November 1922, Carter and his crew started to dig up the only section of the valley that they have not gone through.
In the center of the valley is the best place to look for the tomb!
We found something!
While Carter and his crew were digging, he saw something extraordinary happen. Carter walked over to where they were digging and he saw what they may have been looking for. He attempted to go in but her thought that it wouldn't be fair to Carnarvon if he saw it alone without him. He asked his men to cover it up until Carnarvon got there.
The day that Carnarvon was on the spot, Carter asked his men to clear up the stairway again. On the lower part, there was a closed doorway, and it had the seal of the Pharaoh Tutankhamen. They saw that part of the door was patched and it was evident that the door had been partly broken down. Carter thought that it was most likely by robbers.
The two were tempted to open the door and see what the robbers have done but they didn't. But before them, they saw a hole so they brought their light toward it and saw a smaller room nut had even more objects then the room they were in! It was the most amazing mess they had ever seen.
Robbers have been through here I'm pretty sure.
In the end, the cemetery officials had made some attempt o clean up the antechamber after the robbers and to pile up the funeral furniture in some sort of way. then the robbers did their work so they left the things how they were. in conclusion, Carter and Carnarvon realized that the job them was going to take months. To label, photograph, mend, pack and ship all the things of this museumful treasures.
