Storyboard Text

  • Sharing your vulnerability with others
  • I have actually been feeling lonely myself too lately
  • I feel lonely
  • Apologizing as a form of vulnurability
  • I wanted to say that I am sorry
  • Opening up
  • I wanted to tell you that I am scared of losing my job
  • I am happy you opened up to me and remember that I am always here for you
  • In a group of peers, admit that you are feeling scared or lonely, and as a result people in the group might help you through tough time, and many might actually admit to the same feelings, therefore connecting everyone in the group
  • Overcoming breakup
  • Asking for forgiveness is a vulnerable action because we accept the fact that we have been wrong and that we need this person in our life. By apologizing we are feeling better, others feel better, and we get that person back in our life.
  • Building a community
  • Of course!
  • Could you give me a hand getting the stroller up the stairs, please?
  • Being vulnerable by opening up to a friend, and by this actually building a stronger friendship, and earning each others' trust, and making yourself feel better by being able to share
  • Building a community II
  • Thank you for taking care of my dad
  • After a heartbreak it is hard to go back to dating again because we are vulnerable as we are hurt, but getting over the pain makes us stronger and motivates us to meet new people
  • I think I am over my recent break up and ready to date again
  • As a mother of a new-born she needs people to help her out with the baby. She is vulnerable in a way that she is needing help and support, but this is a natural life cycle, and this is what builds relationships and community as a whole.
  • It is hard for adult children to take care of their elderly parents, so they rely on support of social workers/family/friends. This need is vulnerability in a sense that as a child you want to help your parents, but you also have to rely on others for help. This builds relationship and creates community.
