King Minos of Crete was a very powerful man. He was feared by all the neighboring lands .
Deep inside King Minos castle, there was a minotaur. Every year he ordered 7 men and 7 women as food to the minotaur. They entered the maze and never came out. No one ever heard from them again. One year, Theseus, the song of the King of Athens, volunteered to go as one of the 7 men.
After some begging and pleading with his father, Theseus was on a boat going to Crete.
When Theseus reached Crete, he volunteered to go first into the maze.
After walking round the maze, Theseus came head-to-head with the minotaur. He fought the minotaur with all his strength. He broke the minotaurs neck. Theseus has defeated the Minotaur!
Theseus went on a boat back to Athens and they lived happily ever after.
