45 students watched seven films and were asked different questions about fast the cars were traveling when the cars Smashed? Collided? Bumped? Hit? Contacted?
Smashed? 40.8mph. Collided? 39.3 mph. Bumped? 38.1mph. Hit? 34.0mph. Contacted? 31.8mph.

A new group was then shown a video which lasted 1 minute and asked about the speed and a week later were called back and asked 10 questions and if the saw any glass? there was no smashed glass at the scene. the ones who thought the cars were going quicker, responded the was glass.
Smashed: Yes - 16. No - 34. Hit: Yes - 7. No - 43. Control: Yes - 6. No - 44 Response to if there was glass.
