  • Mohammad Ramjan was born in 1937, and because of his father's occupation as a police officer, stayed in Palestine during the Partition. 
  • Their family witnessed the worst of the riots in the town of Kolkata, British India.
  • He remembers seeing trucks full of corpses drive past in his neighborhood
  • Men and women dragged from their houses by the mobs marching through town.
  • After the riots, they took a train to East Pakistan. 
  • After the war in 1971, they moved to the Geneva Camp in Bangladesh.
