  • Hello!, my name is Mel. Me and Anne will be your instructors today.
  • The disease is caused by a recessive gene. Those that inherit Bectra die in the larva stage
  • Genes are carried on chromosomes, and traits are determined by pairs of genes with each parent contributing one gene.
  • Offspring will only have the recessive trait if they receive one recessive gene from each parent.
  • Genes are carried on chromosones. each parent
  • Genes can be dominant or recessive. An offsprings traits are expressed by the dominant gene.
  • Dominant genes are designated by a capital B, and recessive genes are designated by a lower case b.
