  • Margot was lonely because the other children did not like her. Or understand her.

  • William called Margot a liar and told her she could not remember the sun.

  • The children lock Margot in the closet. They will not let her out even if she cries.

  • The children, after seven years, come outside to play to feel the sun and be able to have fun that is not in underground tunnels.
  • The children let Margot out of the closet felling sorry for what they did. They finally understood what they were doing was wrong.
