Storyboard Text

  • In Eastern Europe, a forest's ownership has been disputed by two families, the Gradwitz's and the Znaeym's, who, for three generations, have believed that they each have the right to the land. Ulrich Von Gradwitz assumes Georg Znaeym to be poaching on this land. He is hunting for him.
  • The winds are strong tonight. The breeze I feel across my face makes me want to wisp away your life all the more. I want the memory of you to be blown away by the power of nature itself.
  • You get what you deserve, Ulrich! The land that made you a monster, that you fought so hard over, which your rightful ownership you lied about in court, is what destroyed you. My men are on their way for me. They will save me and let you die. Your family will find you here, dead, in a pool of blood, with wolves tearing at your flesh. I will wish them my condolences, but I will dance on your grave and be glad all my life of your death.
  • Ulrich finds Georg in the woods. Georg has been hunting for Ulrich as well. They stand glaring at each other, guns aimed.
  • I've been wanting to murder you for god knows how long
  • Neighbor, seeing you losing your life by the second, seeing you gasp for air, seeing the blood around you dry and crack while more cakes around it, it puts thing into a better perspective. I was ready to jump at the chance at to murder you earlier, but over what? A piece of land that can't withstand a gust of wind? Georg, if my men come first, I'll have them save you first. And if we make it through this, I'd even ask you to be my friend
  • All too suddenly, a storm knocked an overhead tree limb on top of the two. They were pinned beneath it, arms width away from each other, bleeding and broken.
  • I couldn't catch it. There is too much blood over my eyes to see anything. I can only try to blink it away. I wouldn't drink with an enemy even if I could.
  • Aye! This wine warms the heart. Could you reach this flask if I threw it over to you? There is good wine in it, and one may as well be as comfortable as one can. Let us drink, even if tonight one of us dies.
  • Could you imagine what people would say if they saw us in town together as friends? That's never been seen before between our families. There would be peace. You could come to my house to feast, and I to yours. There would be no more shots fired. I've always just hated you without a thought given, but you've offered me your wine, you've offered your friendship. I will be your friend.
