  • Charge your Chromebook!
  • Don't Procrastinate!
  • Show up to school!
  • The chromebooks are used in most of your classes. Trust me when I say you do NOT want to be that kid who ALWAYS has to go get their charger or find an outlet, because teachers will get sick of it, especially Mrs. Allen. I understand the whole "I don't take anything home" excuse, and if you use that then I'd say charge it in A.P. and charge it at lunch, just make sure to get it a full charge over the weekend.
  • Do your homework!!
  • Procrastination is why my grades slipped during Freshman year. Being behind all the time and having to re-take classes is pretty stressful, so don't take that road. When you get a huge project, just get it over with. Do as much as you can as soon as you can, then you won't have a ton of work to do once the project is due. Also, try to get homework done in class. It may seem like a lot, but once you get working you'll realize it can be done, and it helps a lot.
  • This is a big one because it can do so much damage to your grades in such a short period of time. You only get 5 excused days per semester, and the rest are counted as unexcused. All assignments and tests and schoolwork in general that is assigned during an unexcused absence can only receive a 59% AT THE MOST. If you miss too many days, the F's will start to come, and you'll inevitably fall behind. It is so difficult and stressful to get all the make up work done, so just show up.
  • This one is the most important. Homework is a huge part of your grade in high school. If you slack and don’t do it, your grades are sure to fall. It doesn’t take long for the missing work to stack up, and you won't even get full credit. You definitely don’t want to spend your sophomore year doing freshman classes again, so don’t fail any classes!
