The bunnies than change for the better and blend into their environment more and even becoming faster. That is the process of adaptation. The new bunnies look different from the original. The new bunnies though are the same species, but only look different.
Sadly the original bunny died off because it wasn't as well adapted to the environment as its offspring. The newer species though still has the common ancestor of the original bunny.
The bunnies keep changing for the better and adapting to their environment making even more different types. Just imagine a tree with at the roots the original bunny. The tree than splits off into two trunks of the bunnies in the last picture. Than more bunnies in this picture make up the branches.

Over time the green bunnies moved to a new habitate because they could survive better there by the process od decent with modification. This would be apart be the twigs of the branches from the previous picture.
Since the old species of the brown bunnies now looks like the animal above they were so different they no longer were attracted to the white bunnies. Since the new animal above are no longer attracted the white bunny they are considered a new organism. The new brown animal above still has the same common ancestor as the white bunny with the grey stomach.
