  • Animate: Show various services being deployed to different hosts in the cloud.
  • ?
  • !
  • Script: The cloud controller then sets up network routing, load balancing and firewall rules, enabling access to the cloud services. Animate: show the path connecting from the controller and hosts to the routing/load balancing and firewall.
  • Script: Let's take a look at how the Cloud handles web traffic... Animate: Zoom out to show web traffic between the Cloud and the Internet.
  • Script: Now, watch what happens as the amount of web traffic increases... Animate: Show the controller monitoring the traffic and then begin to deploy more Virtual Machines to the hosts with the cloud service software instances.

  • Reduced CAPEX
  • Script: What you're seeing is more instances of cloud services being deployed to accommodate the increased web traffic. This helps prevent systems from crashing and maintains steady connectivity. Animate: Show more cloud services appearing on the hosts and the frequency of web traffic "pulses" becoming more steady

  • Reduced OPEX
  • Reduced CAPEX
  • Script: When resource usage is low, the cloud hosts can be allocated for long-running services, like those supporting big data. Animate: Show web traffic lanes decreasing and cloud service instances being replaced by big data icon

  • Reduced OPEX
  • Reduced CAPEX
  • Script: So now we have a better understanding of how the Cloud works!..But how will this affect your business? Animate: Show first cloud float off, then bring a new cloud with a question mark in.
  • Script: By using COTS hardware and dynamic allocation of resources, as opposed to deploying specialized systems provisioned to handle maximum capacity requirements, Cloud computing offers significant cost savings. Animate: Show hosts with price tag, slash the price icon as if showing a sale or cut in price.
  • Script: Reliability is improved in the cloud, as the redundancy model supports multiple serving requests simultaneously. If a host were to fail, the services provided by that host could be allocated to another available host. Animate: Shrink the hosts icon to the upper-left corner and bring in an icon showing "Reliability."
  • Script: This aspect greatly reduces CAPEX. Animate: Show the Reliability icon shrink to the upper left corner, and show these two icons creating reduced CAPEX.
  • Script: Resources in the cloud are managed from a centralized location, reducing the need for redundant support staff, which reduces OPEX. Animate: Show "manageability" icon large, then shrink to the left; bring in "reduced opex" text.
  • Script: And, the Cloud provides a strategic edge, allowing new services to be deployed without procuring new hardware. This results in faster time to market, with a faster realization of benefits from the services offered. Animate: Show Strategic Edge icon similar to previous icons. Bring in "money/benefits" icon, animate in "upward" visual cue to convey increase.
