  • "It's getting dark, Linda." (Miller, 110)
  • Linda, Charley, and the boys all stand around Willy's grave.
  • Biff talks to Linda as the cemetery approaches closing time.
  • "How about it, Mom? Better get some rest, heh? They'll be closing the gate soon." (Miller, 110)
  • "It was a very nice funeral." (Miller, 110)
  • "Why didn't anybody come?...But where are all of the people he knew? Maybe they blame him."
  • Linda asks why the funeral was so vacant.
  • "He had all the wrong dreams. All, all, wrong... He never knew who he was." (Miller, 111)
  • Biff and Happy argue about their father.
  • "Don't say that!" (Miller, 111)
  • Everyone starts to leave as Linda remains mourning.
  • "Let's go, Mom." (Miller, 111)
  • "I'll be with you in a minute. Go on, Charley... I never had a chance to say goodbye." (Miller, 111)
  • Linda has one last moment with Willy as her and Biff prepare to leave the cemetery.
  • "Forgive me, dear. I can't cry. I don't know what it is, but I can't cry...I made the last payment on the house today. Today, dear. And there'll be nobody home. We're free and clear. We're free." (Miller, 112)
