Storyboard Text

  • Hello Kids! Wow you guys do seem bigger than the last time I saw you..
  • Really? How does that work?
  • Well that is called Cell Division. First step of the process is called Interphase...
  • Next is Prophase, when chromosomes form along with the spindle fibers.
  • That is when cells carry out their normal activities, but towards the end DNA is duplicated.
  • Next is Metaphase, where the chromosomes line up in the middle & spindle fibers attach
  • Next is Anaphase, where the chromosomes separate & are pulled to the opposite side of the cell.
  • Then its Telophase, where the membrane forms around chromosomes, DNA returns to loose strands & cell Membrane begins to pinch.
  • Lastly is Cytokinesis, this is when the cytoplasm splits! So that is the process of cell division! Where cells grow, repair, develop, & reproduce
