Exposition: The main characters are Rainsford, Whitney, Ivan, and Zarof. This story takes place on an island. The mood of the story is scary/worried.
Title: "The Most Dangerous Game".
Conflict: "No General, I will not hunt" (Connell 73).
"You'll find this game worth playing" the general said (Connell 74).
"Ivan" he said to Rainsford, "will supply you with hunting cloths, food, a knife" (Connell 75).
"He was in a picture frame with a frame of water, and his operations, clearly, must take place within that frame" (Connell 75).
Climax: "Rainsford hesitated. He heard the hounds. Then he leaped far out into the sea" (Connell 80).
Falling action: "The general was playing with him! The general was saving him for another day's sport!" (Connell 76).
Resolution: "A man, who had been hiding in the curtains of the bed, was standing there" (Connell 80)
Theme: Even the best game, is not always the best.
