  • Ay, ay, a scratch, a scratch.
  • Act 3 Scene 2
  • Shall I speak ill of him that is my husband?

  • Act 3 Scene 3
  • O deadly sin, O rude unthankfulness!
  • In scene one, Mercutio and Tybalt have a battle, and Mercutio is slain by Tybalt. Romeo then avenges his ally, Mercutio, by killing Tybalt; consequently, he is banished by the Prince for his actions.
  • Act 3 Scene 4
  • Madam, good night. Commend me to your daughter.
  • In scene two, the nurse informs Juliet that Romeo has slain her cousin Tybalt and Juliet becomes angry with him. However, upon further consideration Juliet decides that she is happy that Romeo won the duel and killed Tybalt because it meant he survived.
  • Act 3 Scene 5
  • Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch!
  • The Friar informs Romeo that he will be banished for killing Tybalt. Romeo then decides that he would rather die than be banished but the Friar thinks he is being ridiculous and tells him he is nuts.
  • Paris visits Capulet and asks him for Juliet's hand in marriage. Capulet agrees despite being unsure that Juliet will accept the arranged marriage. Paris leaves and Capulet to tell Juliet she will be marrying Paris.
  • After speaking with Paris, Capulet informs Juliet that she will be marrying Paris. When Juliet rejects the arranged marriage, Capulet becomes infuriated with her and threatens to throw her out on the street if she does not marrt Paris as he wants her to.
