Storyboard Text

  • The Scientific Revolution
  • The Scientific revolution all started by Nicolaus Copernicus. He proposed a theory  that the Sun was the center of the universe instead of the Earth. This Heliocentric theory made many questions and made other people want to prove it.
  • Galileo Galilei was someone who proved Copernicus's theory by using a telescope. Galileo showed his work to people that the Sun was the center, not the Earth.
  •  The Church did not like the growth of the Scientific Revolution. They did not like being proved wrong because then people might stop coming to the Church. The Church tortured those who did not support their beliefs.
  • Important inventions helped the Scientific Revolution rise up. If these inventions weren't made, nobody can prove anything. Such inventions was the telescope, microscope, barometer, thermometer, and the scientific method.
  • The Church accepted the Scientific Revolution and the Heliocentric theory around the 1600's. Above all, the Scientific revolution made science the way it is progressing today.
